Ring Polehead Standoff 1A is a galvanised steel pole step with a welded 100mm diameter ring. The ring polehead standoff 1A is used for wooden poles as so often referenced as a transmission pole, telephone pole, telecommunication pole, power pole, hydro pole, telegraph pole, or telegraph post.

The 100mm diameter ring is used to attach a maximum of five drop wires on joint user poles when a standoff 1A dropwire needs to be terminated. Ring Polehead Standoff 1A steps are installed on telegraph poles to enable maintenance engineers to climb poles to perform maintenance. The pole step acts as leverage to climb the pole whilst holding the engineer’s weight, to stop them from slipping.
