GASKET SEALING

Gasket sealing can be integral for several key applications. Barton International have the capability on-site to manufacture custom gasket sealing components, utilising a wide range of high-performance materials.  With complete process control. So how are gasket and sealing products manufactured? there are a few manufacturing processes to consider.

The first process is slitting material to thickness, using an automated slitting machine, this can be produced in sheets for low volume requirements or rolls for high volume. If single- or double-sided adhesive is required, material is fed/processed through an adhesive laminator via a continuous roll system where the adhesive tape is heated and applied. Now material has been prepared, parts are ready to be pressed. There are two core options available, which result in a variety of custom product presentations for widths, lengths, number of parts on roll, finger tabs etc…

CNC Kiss-cutting Machine
The first is a CNC kiss-cutting machine, which has a high run rate and efficiency. Stamping parts, removing excess material, and rolling product automatically, ready for packing. Producing thousands of accurate parts an hour.  

CNC Atom Press
Another process is for single cut parts, these tend to be for larger gaskets. Where a custom tool is fitted and gasket sealing is pressed out on an automated conveyor belt. Ensuring maximum utilisation of material and waste removal.

The next phase would be tooling and product testing, supporting our customers with fast-efficient tooling and precision manufactured samples. Upon sample approval Barton International will support with our partners medium to high volume production, with full assembly available within the UK if required.
