FOAM ADHESIVE TAPES

Foam adhesive tapes can be integral for several key applications. Barton International have the capability on-site to convert custom foam adhesive tape components, utilising a wide range of high-performance materials. With complete process control. So how are foam tapes manufactured? there are a few manufacturing processes to consider. 

The first process to produce foam adhesive tape parts is slitting material to thickness, using an automated slitting machine, this is produced in roll. If single- or double-sided adhesive is required, material will be fed/processed through an adhesive laminator via a continuous roll of material and adhesive tape.

CNC Log Cutting
Now that material has been prepared, it is loaded onto a log cutting machine. Where a circular blade cuts through the log of material to the required width. When the manufacturing process is complete, parts are removed from the machine ready for packing. Foam adhesive tapes are available from a minimum width of 5mm and up to 1Meter, with a variety of thicknesses and lengths available.

The next phase would be tooling and product testing, supporting our customers with fast-efficient tooling and precision manufactured samples. Upon sample approval Barton International will support with our partners medium to high volume production, with full assembly available within the UK if required.
