Steel Formwork

Steel formwork is metalwork mainly used within the civil engineering and construction industry.

Utilising a wide range of metal fabrication techniques, including metal stamping, bending, extrusion and welding, with products assembled into structures (formwork).

Steel Formwork - Barton International

Steel formwork can be used for temporary or permanent moulds, into which concrete or similar materials are poured. In the context of concrete construction, the falsework supports the shuttering mould.

There are many advantages to use steel formwork within civil engineering, construction of transport infrastructure or buildings.

Steel formwork is a durable and cost-effective solution for concrete construction, offering superior durability and load-bearing capacity for large-scale projects.

Despite higher upfront costs compared to alternatives, steel formwork proves economical over time due to its longevity.

It is versatile, used in various applications such as foundations, columns, and bridge construction across different sectors.

Steel formwork provides a clean concrete finish, reducing onsite labour, and its non-porous nature aids in the concrete curing process, ensuring strong and high-quality concrete structures.
